Hey everyone, so I recently took the SATs in May, my junior year of highschool, and feel extremely sad about my SAT score. I scored around a 1700, but I honestly know I am much more capable of a higher score. My gpa is ~3.7 uw, 3.96~ w and I have taken plenty of challenging courses. I'm taking the ACTs in June, and also retaking the SATs in October and would like to boost my score ~300 points, at least a 2000. I've been reading the forums but could someone help me out with a study plan, or preparation for that next test. I am willing to put the effort in.

Depends on your strengths and weaknesses, more specifically, your section scores.

There’s a chance you will do better on the ACT than the SAT. Both times I took the SAT, the comparison score to the ACT was lower than the actual ACT score I got. So it really depends. If you can put the effort in to study, that’s great because improvement is definitely possible.

I only scored a low 600 on my Math and that is something I excel at, it’s just the english part of the test were I lack

CR and Writing are easy sections to boost. I assume you already have the blue book so invest in some other study guides by Barrons, Gruber, or PR. Knowing the basics and the strategies are key. Once you get that down, you can go over practice questions online or in the BB.

Practice, practice, practice. As TheDidactic said invest in study guides. The basics and strategies are key. And it is to understand the reasons you incorrectly answered questions.

keep practicing…SAT scores usually jump on second attempts
