Am I the only one getting really worried about class availability. If you use the course search for Fall it is very sad. I was excited to hopefully get in an American Presidency class, but I search and it's wait list is even full. So I brushed it off and was checking out another class on Campaigns....wait list full. Another....full....another...same. I could only find an econometrics (whatchawhat), and a game theory class with an incredible amount of open seats ( hmmm wonder why?)!

Anyways it already looks like everything is full, and I haven't even been given an enrollment date. What do they expect me to do my first semester? I'm so confused. Does anyone have any insight?

Well not everything, but quite a bit of stuff is full. If it keeps up at this pace there will be very few choices.

Seems like all the good classes are getting full. If all fails, at least we have Econometrics…lol.

HAHAHAHAHA, I swear, everything you write makes me laugh! I am not sure about Berkeley, but at UCLA they reserve a certain amount of seats for incoming transfers. Maybe they are employing the same strategy at Cal, which maybe why some classes are shown as full.

Hmm, maybe Berkeley will add more classes in the future. If what you’re saying is true and if Berkeley doesn’t add more classes,they’re being wildly irresponsible since they’re supposed to mak esome classes and seats available for transfer students…native Berkeley students are taking up classes and accepted transfers can’t even enroll yet…

I really hope Berkeley doesn’t ■■■■ this up and fail to add any more classes. The other UCs don’t seem to have this problem.

@ocnative if it comes down to that…me and you are study buddies. Lol

@CollegeDropout1 You will miss me when I soon (I mean really soon.) disappear from your virtual life. You will sit, and ponder what I was. Was I the guy at your local Starbucks typing with fierce purpose as if writing a novel, but merely posting on forums? Was I a gamer who flipped between this page, and World of Warcraft (I’m a level 37 Elf btw)? Or was I right next to you the entire time? Am I the guy in your class that you always catch staring at you? Was I a man? A myth? A legend?

( I’m actually none of these. I’m more like a low budget, toddler birthday level, wanna be comedian. The above paragraph is probably a more suitable description for @Cayton. I mean seriously the guy is like a genie mixed with an eight-ball.)

But, yeah I have briefly heard someone ( not a reliable source) mention that whole reserved seats thing as a possibility.

@Cayton I will cry and wish I went to UCLA if this is really how my semester plays out. Lol

@TheUnderdog1

I’d deal with a ■■■■■■ first semester if it meant a full ride to the #1 UC, which you have.

Your situation could be a lot worse. :P

And thanks, your compliments flatter me. :D

@Cayton reread my post. I feel I described you wonderfully, and want some recognition. Lol

@TheUnderdog1

Ah, but I did. I edited my post to reflect that. Maybe you didn’t see the edit because you were typing up that last response You have your recognition, now. :)

Now, Begone! :D

I’m pretty sure they add classes (I know they added more sections for some summer classes I wanted to take that were full), but it does suck, especially if you have a late CalSO date. I hope UCLA has their fall schedule up soon as well.

What is your guys calSO dates? As a poli sci major, I registered for the first date for this reason. I hope something good happens!

@hairlesscow I haven’t submitted mine yet because I am still deciding between UCLA and Cal, but I want to do it soon for that same reason.

Well I hope they do make classes and seats available for transfer students but I won’t be surprised if they’re still full. Upper division polisci classes are impacted, wonder why that is?

Out of curiosity, what’s your intended subfield of specialization @TheUnderdog1?

@ocnative I’m think American Politics, but I really like International Relations. Most likely American Politics, and I plan on double majoring in American Studies just to have a stronger knowledge base to work with.
