i'm a junior in high school, and for the first time ever, i actually have a shot at qualifying for state in speech and debate. finally! it's about time...
so anyway, that state competion goes from march 6-8, 2008... but another competion, bpa state conference goes from march 5-8, 2008.
ahhhh!
i've worked so hard to qual for debate, and i'm so close i can taste it, but i'm vp of the bpa at our school, and it might look bad for me to pass up that state for a different one. and then there's the fact that i probably won't place at speech and debate state, but chances top get to state in bpa are very good because there aren't alot of good speakers there...
in terms of worth in college apps, likeliness of winning, and personal value
which one should i go to?

what's BPA? I don't know, if I could, maybe I could help?

Do BPA. I do debate, and it's nearly impossible to win states. If you are saying you "nearly" qualified that means your not above average good. Therefor, you don't have a good chance winning debate. I've never done BPA, but it's probably less competitive than debate.

Opposed to debate, I have no idea what BPA even is.

BPA is Business Professionals of America, correct?

Yeah. Like the same as FBLA.

Yeah, go to BPA... States is impossible... wait for nationals.

... National Football League?

Clearly I'm out of my league.

Go to debate. What the heck is BPA anyway?
