rugby is like the national sport here lol. I personally don't like to play/watch but I sometimes play in our school's intramural house rugby competitions. I really dont likke it how the ball is like oval, not circle like a soccer ball. But the whole nation is obsessed with it, let alone our school.

Its strange that our school rugby team here in US in way better than the football program. I mean, we got more money, people, coaching, and support. lol. America is not really that big on rugby, I mean our games are played on a rented field in a community park...hehe

My friend plays rugby at Vassar. She's a hooker, and I don't let her forget it. :)

B_B - My son is a scrumhalf on a U19 team and a men's team. Plays for our state U19 select side when they happen to get someone to play from the islands or a travelling side from the NE. Hopefully will be playing for Air Force Academy next year. Wanted to try out for the U19 Eagles but finances just weren't there. Good luck to your team mates - will they be going to Dubai as well? You're lucky to have such a great rugby program at your HS. It's just taking off at the HS level in our state.

NoFX - DS really wanted a trip to NZ for a graduation present to got to rugby academy for a few weeks. NZ is kind of the promised land to him.

Thanks a lot.
Our program is about three years old but we do have a great set of coaches and players.
Our team players were selected because our team went the nationals and they were spotted by the national coaches and offered a trip to the selection camps. Sorry that your son wasnt able to try out, I am sure that he would have done well.
