fellows?

probably midnight , right?

Anyone gotten anything yet? They said January 27th, and I’ve heard if you aren’t asked to come interview then the rejection comes via snail mail. I doubt all of us got denied, so they must be coming out later, but I’d like to know if it is worth my time staying up.

Dean’s blog says Wednesday morning, so get some sleep. It’ll be there when you get up, surely by lunchtime. Good luck.

Wow on the blog it says that the average GPA for those who are receiving invitations was a weighted 4.5. I knew Elon super weighted/inflated grades but that is a a lot of grade inflation.

edit: Also I think decisions are up. Didn’t get invited but I’m fine with that (especially since I wrote a very quick essay). Don’t plan to go to Elon, but would have been another day I get to miss school for some scholarship program…

I was invited to interview for both of the programs I chose to apply to (college and honors).

S was invited to Leadership but not Honors.

Son’s decision is in ontrack. He won’t advance to the interviews. That’s OK. His plate was pretty full already with ROTC.

The Deans Blog noted that the 1400 applicants for the Fellows prgram was a 20% increase from last year. Of the 716 students invited to the Fellowship weekend the average GPA is 5.51 and SAT 2051 (ACT 31)

5.51 GPA…lol

I guess that’s because ELon adds 2 points for AP courses…

I was invited to interview for Elon College Fellows (but not Honors Fellows). I was also admitted as of today.

Sort of disappointed I won’t be advancing in the Honors Fellows process, but I’m still excited to be in the running for Elon College Fellows!

Congratulations to everyone who got an invitation / got into Elon today!

I just got invited for both I applied for, College and Honors. Scoutmom, you said that 716/1400 applicants got invited? Wow, that’s a lot more than I would have thought. I want to feel special D; haha I’m just kidding I’m so happy that I’m a finalist.

5.51?! that number has to be wrong. my school gives 2 extra points for AP classes (like Elon), but the thing is, you have to take required class that are regular classes (like civics) + a study hall if you have 5 or more honors/ap classes. so, the highest you can really get is just around a 5.0

WOW it says the average weighted GPA is a 4.51 NOT a 5.51!!! Way to go, scoutmom9.

Ugh. I’m very happy I was chosen at all, but I was hoping/expecting to at least be able to interview for Honors Fellows. Invited for College but not Honors. I guess we’ll see if its even worth attending the weekend, as 7500$ in aid may not be feasible to attend. Congrats to those who got invited, particularly for honors =p

TO ALL:

I apologize for my typo. The average Fellow invited is 4.51 not 5.51

Hey guys sorry I’m a little bit late on this thread but this is my first post
So i got invited to interview for Honors Fellows but not for Elon College Fellows. I’m confused about this 'cause I thought Honors was the highest level. Help anyone???

P.S. - Acceptance letter arrived in the mail today. looks so official
