For what its worth I am female applying for engineering.

I attend a large public high school in the burbs of Philly. Its a highly regarded school.

3.6 unweighted

Track and field- 3 years, lettered

Spanish honor society
over 200 hours of community service

I'm interested in BME and have an internship in the field.
Taking honors physics, calc BC, spanish 5, engineering

I haven't seen my recommendations except the one from internship mentor which was amazing. I haven't seen my counselor rec either.

I know my GPA is lacking but hope that my SAT2/ACT will redeem me!!
Also I don't have a lot of ECs but I have shown significant commitment to the ones I have participated in.

My essays are good but clearly I'm a math and science person-writing is not my thing.
I love love love Duke-can see myself there. I also love some of the other schools on my list. Will be applying to a couple of safety schools as well.
Will be happy to chance back!!
THANKS

Scores - EPIC,
try to take more SAT 2’s though , if you are good at all of the sciences, then why not show it?!
GPA- hmph, its ok I guess ! Improve as much as possible!
If you have EC’s in engineering, nothing like that !
overall good chance at all the Universities ! hope for the best !
I’m a BME person too !
Chance me back please !

Anyone else??? Please!!!

Bump. Please?

Duke ED and UVA EA. help please.

i believe you do have better chances than male STEM applicants

your test scores are good but your gpa is little low for top colleges

Duke ED: reach (gpa)
UVA EA: good chances

Wash U: solid chances if not apply for FA
JHU: reach (gpa)
Vandy: slight reach (gpa)
CMU: solid chances
Michigan: good chances

Tufts. GWU, Bucknell: don’t know much about them

Yeah my GPA sucks. Don’t even have an excuse. Would b happy to go to any of those schools tho. Thanx for the reply.

Pleez anyone else???

Bump…

Anyone else? Please please chance me

Whats your rank? A 3.6 GPA in and of itself isn’t that bad. At a grade deflated school, that may be great (top 5%).

My school doesn’t rank. Probably top 20% bit I don’t really know.

Duke is a reach
