<p>haha, i don't know about the whole .torrent file thing. purdue is already number one for downloading p2p music illegally. so don't surprised if sites like mininova and pirate bay are blocked.lol</p>
<p>besides that, with over 6000 other freshman, i doubt any other interests you have aren't also shared on campus.</p>

<li><p>Within the dorms, there are 100mbps switches with gigabit links between dorms. However, Young Hall still has slow ADSL modems in them. Your upload to off campus is capped at around ~200KB/s approximately while the downstream isn't rate-limited. There is a 5GB/day bandwidth limit which is implemented (this only applies to offcampus traffic while internal bandwidth is unlimited). I think you'll find that this is much more than most other universities offer.
