Few questions about NYU

Hello, I have a few questions about NYU:

1) Is housing at NYU based on first-come, first-serve? Like whoever turns in their housing application first gets first consideration?

2) When is the actual move-in date for CAS students or NYU students in general?

3) Although Rubin Hall is old, does it still have some of the same features as other halls do (like workout room, lounge, game room, etc.)?

Any answers to these questions would be appreciated. Thank you!

1) As long as you submit the housing deposit fee of $1000 and housing application form by 6/1/11, you have an equal chance of getting your top housing choice as all other freshmen based on a lottery system (new housing assignment system this year).

2) Sunday, 8/28/11 -

3) Look at the Building Information section in the following link:

Has anyone received freshman housing assignment for fall 2011?

Should be soon. Probably around mid July, if not a little earlier than that.
