im new to college confidential and id just like to ask some more experienced people what they think my chances at a few schools would be.
im going into my senior year at an ultra-competitive public high school in nj. my weighted gpa is about a 5.7/7 and unweighted stands at about 3.4/4. i know it seems low but theres such competition at my school. in addition ive taken the act once and scored: 31 on english, 27 on math, 30 on reading and a friggen 25 on science with a 30 on the writing supplement (9 on essay) to combine for a 28 comp. btw, sat was 1860. fairly mediocre, i know. ill probably take the act again and hit 30 as ill actually prepare this time around.
in terms of extra curriculars, i am president of habitat for humanity at our school. this club is big at our school and we go on building "missions" all around the country during spring and winter breaks. i also do peer tutoring and tutor the middle school kids at the nearby middle school. ive done deca all my years (competitive business competition) and i always volunteer for the holiday party thats held at our school along with other programs to help better the school and community. i undoubtedly have many hours of community service. so members of college confidential, id greatly appreciate any comments on my chances of getting into umd cp, udel, rutgers, and northeastern. maybe bu too. thanks a ton

probably in at all of them but northeastern might be a little bit of a reach. just study for the SATs. if you can get it above 2000 you’re probably golden

do you mind if I ask what high school?

for umd, i doubt i could get into smith business school, so am i ok at the liberal arts and humanities school at ump cp? also, i really appreciate this help

and the high school is in south jersey…haha same one youre thinking of?
