<p>nope they are one unit pass/nopass enrichment discussions. look for clusters under general education cluster.</p>
<p>you sign up for your cluster the same way you would for any of your other classes on the 3rd day of orientation. </p>
<p>cluster = year-long, multidisciplinary course designed for freshmen, gets rid of GE's and writing II requirement, 15 units total (5 units each quarter), gives honors credit ... you can search options in the <a href="http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule%5B/url%5D">www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule</a> page, scroll down to "GE Cluster"</p>
<p>fiat lux = 1 unit seminar (discussion-based), usually for freshmen, gives honors credit, usually people take them cuz theyre just interested in that certain topic... you can search options in the <a href="http://www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule%5B/url%5D">www.registrar.ucla.edu/schedule</a> page, click on "fiat lux seminars"</p>
