<p>So I was under the impression that Rice had field hockey as a club sport, but it's not listed on Rice's website.</p>

<p>I dont think they do. There is floor hockey, which is played in the Multipurpose Gym, though.</p>
<p>I believe Antarius is right. I’m unaware of a field for field hockey.</p>

<p>how difficult would it be to get it as a club sport? I know of some interest amoungst a few other girls who play, but I’m worried about gaining enough support.</p>
<p>Women’s lacrosse just started up, so if you have the drive, and you get people behind it, you should be successful.</p>
<p>I am desperately looking for a college girl who could coach my Memorial High School girls Field Hockey Club team. We started 2 yrs ago and have had a great time & success playing against the Houston private high schools such as Kinkaid, St. John’s, Episcopal, Duchesne, Lamar Club & Houston Christian. Our Coach is returning to England, our season begins in August & I have been looking for her replacment for 5 months. Several of the above schools are also struggling to find Field Hockey Asst. Coaches. The practices & games are Sun, Tues, Wed & Thurs from 5:00 t 6:30 PM in the Memorial Villages part of Houston. Our season is from Aug 7th thru Oct 25th. The compensation is VERY good. Are there any skilled Rice ladies that would be interested in helping us?</p>

I am a mom who started a girls high school field Hockey Club for my daughter and her friends 2 yrs ago. Our wonderful coach is returning to England & I have been searing for her replacement for several months. Our team had much fun and success competeing against all the Houston private high schools; Kinkaid, St. Johns, Episcopal, Duchesne, Houston Christian & Lamar Club. We even went to the Hockaday tournament in Dallas last year. Also several of those schools are still searching for Asst. Coaches…there are just none to be found. We practice Sun, Tues, Wed & Thurs from 5:00 to 6:30 PM in the Memorial Villages area of Houston. The season is from Aug. 7 thru Oct. 25th and the compensation is VERY good! We have our games scheduled, professional field, equipment and a roster of girls wanting to continue. Would you or anyone you know be interested in Coaching our team?
