how do you do it

Red Bull. (10 char)

Red Bull+Coffee.
Some people tell eating helps, but I diagree. I don't eat during all-nighters but drink a lot of juice and water...helps, trust me.

is there any method that won't keep me running to the bathroom all nighty?

energy drinks, 2 at a time, usually a mix of bawls guarana and red bull.

Its helped me so many times during junior year, especially one night when i had my world lit paper and my 2 Ib ia's due.

coffee
or i splash cold water on my face.
or i go swing my golf club around a few times then i really really wake up..lol

oh darn. my golf club's too expensive to risk that. :p

Loud loud music.

I hear that sleep helps, but I'm not really an all-nighter type of person. Unless, all-nighters include hanging out w/ friends and no homework. ;)

isn't guarana the brazilian fruit? that produces the guarana drink? or are you talking about a different thing?

Definitely get up and move around frequently. Walk around the house, do jumping jacks, anything that will get you moving. I find that if I sit for a long time, late at night, then I get really sleepy (hence me falling asleep in front of the computer on more than one occasion) but if I walk around for a bit, it makes me more alert.

i just go to sleep. why fight?

Sometimes 20 minute power naps can be really good. You know when you're almost done with a paper, but you can't remember what you wrote two sentences ago? That's when you pull a power nap.

Here's how you make sure you wake up from a power nap. Set your alarm. Drink about 2 gallons of water beforehand. Even if you don't wake up w. the alarm, you'll have to wake up w.i. an hour to use the bathroom. Then it's back to work. Also, make your room really cold. That helps, too.

......................:) ;)

NASA det'd the ideal length for a nap was 22 minutes.

...Cool. Where'd you find that?

Espresso drinks > regular coffee for staying awake. I can't take the so-called "power naps" - I never wake up, and then wake up LATE the next morning - so I usually get an iced latte around nine or ten and then drink tea mixed w/ coffee all night. Room's set on cold, loud music, all the works.

You can power nap at your desk. Or on the floor. The trick is to do it when you're mildly uncomfortable, have 2 gallons of water in your bladder, and have a minimum of 2 alarms set all over your room.

take several shots of hard liquor

my power naps easily turn into sleep-all-night.
