How does one sign up for a FIG? I know that you do it at orientation, but do you sign up before you register for classes or what?

You do it when talking to your adviser about registration.

You sign up during your pre-advising. Then between 5:30-6:30 you go to the designated area to see if you got in. There you are given a unique number which you have to put in first when registering for your classes on the last day of orientation.

Alright, thanks.

Can transfer students join a fig?

i dont know… because its called a first year interest group…

well aren’t transfer students still considered first-years? or do they mean first year to be <30 credits?

Yes, transfer students can join FIGs or TrIGs (Transfer Interest Groups). You just need to have your adviser sign up you up for one.

Ohhh thanks Xcel!
