Figuring out what to major in

I'm a Freshman at a community college right now and I'm transferring to Troy University for next year and I'm stumped on what to major in. My interests are focused in Public Admin, Business Admin, or Criminal Justice. Little information first. I care just a little bit about starting salaries. I want to love my job, but I also would love to have a good salary, but I want to love my job. Bottom line is that. Anyways, my interests are in government jobs and the financial side of it. I love the fact of working for the people and making important decisions for a city. So all I'm asking is what are job outlooks and how easy is it to get government jobs that accept my choices of degrees. Public Administration, Business Administration, or Criminal Justice. I want to know about entry level salaries, median salaries, job outlook, job security, how to have a better chance at a job, internship possibilities, how fun working for the government is, and any other stuff that you think I should know. I'm leaning towards Public Admin or Criminal Justice now that I think about it. But just want some input from others. Thanks and looking forward to peoples answers. Don't tell me not to major in any of those three. I hate the fact of Accounting and I don't like any of the other business majors. If you have a related field that could be better then maybe I'll consider. Thanks again for your time reading this.

Sorry the paragraph is so jumbled.

Also looking for suggestions on what kind of minors I could do to compliment one of those majors.

Check out the hiring websites for your state or county. Often they will describe jobs and the required background for it. Because those first two are pretty general degrees, you might add something to it–computer systems, geographic information science, civil engineering–as a double major. I realize Civil Engineering is a stretch, but lots of city planners/managers have that as a background.
