Filling out FAFSA for two kids

My brother is currently a sophomore at a UC and has already completed his FAFSA. I am going to be an incoming freshman for the 2011-2012 school year at a UC also. Is there a way to transfer all that data from his online form to mine(so I wouldn't have to do it again)? I would ask his help, but he is currently two hours away in college and I can only talk to him via phone. I would change the necessary stuff.

Also, do I put my mom's live in boyfriend on the form? He doesn't share funds, but buys us lunch and stuff, but not things like rent and our bills.

Did your brother submit his FAFSA? There was an option at the end of it for your mom to start a sibling’s filing and her info would have transferred. If he already submitted, I don’t know if that link would still be an option. It should be easy to just take a copy of his SAR and fill in the blanks for your mom’s info.

The boyfriend’s info doesn’t belong on your FAFSA at all.

Neither my mom or my mom’s boyfriend helped with the FAFSA because they don’t understand it(well, my mom doesn’t understand, but my mom’s boyfriend said we should learn how to do it by ourselves). So my brother did it by himself.

I assume that mom helped by providing her income, asset, and tax info?! Your mom would have also had to e-sign the FAFSA with her PIN. I think he could probably save the pdf summary of his SAR to his hard drive and email it to you so you’d have the info he used for your mom.

She just gave us her tax forms. She has no savings or assets. We made a pin for her because she doesn’t know how to use a computer >.<

I think I’ll end up doing it tonight by myself. I’ll have to learn eventually. Thanks for your help :)
