Hey guys, i got my Financial aid today and decided to go ahead and fill out my enrollment form to seal the deal. However,
it asks which term i will start classes. Since there is a mandatory summer session for HEOP students, do i put summer 2015
or Fall 2015 like everyone else?
Yeah I got accepted too and I would like to know the answer to that^.
Also, I haven’t got my package in the mail ,but I looked it up online.
Apparently, they give me a bit more aid that is necessary for tuition and fees, so does anyone know if I will be getting that back as a check or something?

I was sorta scarred cause i heard that even though the guy said “congrats” they were still rejected… anyways congrats to you, and i think that getting money back only applies to CUNY schools, im not really sure
Thanks, and yea I was scared about that too ,but I figure once you have your financial aid package there’s nothing
to worry about.

I think i might call the admissions office tomorrow and ask them about this situation regarding the terms. Ill post it here aswell if i get a reply from them
I called them this morning, and she told me to fill it out as Summer 2015. Hmm

Looks like the lady was wrong, i would get an error when i put Summer 2015. I called again and the guy said
Fall 2015 O.o … Also do we have to indicate to other colleges that we’re not going to attend em?

My theory is that since we’re HEOP, the summer institute is like a pre-college program instead of a summer term of classes. So, you’d have to mark down Fall 2015 since that’s when we would actually be students.
And yea I figure you’d only have to notify colleges you applied early decision for or deposited money for. If not, your good

i was accepted to fordham LC heop a while ago and i already sign the form. i try to sign it summer 2015 one online, but it didnt work, so i just sign the fall 2015. congrats on getting accepted, i hope to meet u guys over the summer. btw the assistance told to me sign the form immediately becuz she said space r very limited. a friend of mine who was in heop told me that once the seats r filled, signing the form cant get u the spot even if u got accepted.

Hey guys, i filled out the enrollment a few days ago online, and i kinda ran into some issues. I went into my financial aids tab and saw that “amount needed” was ~$400. When i click on the shopping cart however, it says that i need to pay $5,000? Whats going on? O.o @ForestFire128 @BabyPanda33
@swazzi the 5000 is the after all the awards. becuz u pay only pay 400, it just means r taking 4600 out of loans and work study (if u apply for it). i have about 5k too, but i pay last than that becuz i have 2500 from loans and the rest i have to work.

@swazzi Yeah, I have “amount needed” too ,but I haven’t been able to accept my awards yet to see how much i’ll have to pay out of pocket. I submitted my enrollment recently so that might be why. Also, are you RH or LC campus?

Also, to both of you guys, do you have any info on how many semesters of HEOP eligibility you have?
I looked up the government website for HEOP at http://www.highered.nysed.gov/kiap/colldev/HEOP/, and it said that if you are in a 4-year bachelor program, you have up to 10 semesters of HEOP support in case you wanna do a minor, need to retake a class, etc…
BUT, when I asked around at Fordham, I couldn’t get a clear answer. 
Understandably though, as I wasn’t a student yet at the time.
@ForestFire128 i saw some past threads and someone said, heop at fordham doesnt support the 5th year.
