Film: CSUN or CSULB

I need to make my final decision in a couple of days and I was just wondering if anyone had any input on this?

I live right by CSULB and CSUN requires me to dorm, which will cost me like 10k more. I figured I could learn a lot by living on my own, but I'm not sure if it's worth that price. I also understand that CSUN has better film equipment than Long Beach, but if I could save 10k a year, I could also be able to afford some decent equipment myself.

I want to go in for hands-on film production experience.

A part of me wants to move out and explore, but there's also a part of me that feels comfortable where I am right now.

Do you guys w/ school and dorm experience have any advice/input regarding my "coming of age" situation?

Any help?

Can you afford to live on campus without incurring substantial debt? Also how many minutes does it take to drive from Long Beach to your house?

There are some programs that essentially pay students to live in remote areas and do video work as a side job. I know of at least two parks in Alaska which offer this as well as one in Wyoming. Just throwing it out there as another way to live away from home for a bit.
