Film Production Major

i don’t think so, since its just diluted food coloring and sugar water
but since its a white car i wouldn’t leave it on for several days in the sun to dry on to it
as long as you wash it after filming or whatever you’re doing, it should be fine i think

OK sweet! This brings me to my next point, we should either keep this thread going(even after we find out decisions), or make a new one for film makers. Cuz like filmmaker.com, and studentfilms.com both suck as far as the forums go.

I dont know just a thought.

I called admissions and they gave me a general answer. They said to check with your advisor for decisions blah blah…I didn’t want to get them pi$$ed off so I just said thank you and hung up. Yeah, I’m no help. Lol.

I’m on hold with USC. I’m nervous. First time calling, any school. I don’t want bad news.

Oh really Armen? I called LMU like every day when they didn’t get my transcript. I bet I annoyed them so much. I memorized what numbers to get to undergraduate admissions from calling so much. They eventually told me I’d get an email if they got it. I called them anyway on a Monday and they asked me if I received an email, I said no…found out they got the transcript that day. LMU better not reject me for calling almost everyday for 2 or 3 weeks. They don’t have a webadvisor thing so yeah…little story for you guys. Hehe.

Eh, you had a good reason for calling. Who cares?

USC told me my Financial Aid and Admission Application were separated because I had not completed everything; the CSS profile and I didn’t fax my parents/my tax returns.

I have a lot to take care of today and will send everything over soon. This doesn’t have anything to do with my admission status, right? I can get accepted even if my Financial Aid is missing documents, right? I hope so, because I don’t want Financial Aid to hold up my application.

one-way-No, it doesn’t hold up your admission status in any way. The Financial Aid office and Admissions work separately and don’t communicate to each other at all. You can still be accepted. Do everything right away so if you do get accepted, you won’t have to wait long on your awards and such.

Good, thank you.

I want to log into the official deposit page already! It’s so tempting to enter the other one because you can technically pay through there as well.

I don’t even know what’s going on with Chapman. Last year, almost every transfer I knew heard by May 15. Look up those old threads on StudentFilms.com and you’ll see.

Yeah I know. If I could just log-in to the enrollment website, then I would know I’m accepted. I hate waiting. I think that’s the 3rd time I said it in this thread. I hate waiting I hate waiting I hate waiting!

I did read Chapman had an abnormally high amount of applicants this year. This may be the case as to why they are going slow this year. I did see on Student Films where people found out around May 15th. I hope we find out soon.

Oh, good. Lots of applicants and less than 30 spots to fill. Good.

Are you talking about Chapman? They accept 30 transfers for film production.

…30…your kidding right? Please tell me your kidding…

Actually, it’s 25. See below.

Q: How many students are you looking to accept in each major?
A: These numbers vary depending on the major. The fall numbers for freshman are:

Film production: 75
Film studies: 20
Digital arts: 30
Public relations and advertising: 30
Screenwriting: 30
Television and broadcast journalism: 40

For transfers in the fall:
Film production: 25
Film studies: 10
Digital arts: 15
Public relations and advertising: 20
Screenwriting: 20
Television and broadcast journalism: 20

Oh okay, so it’s 25…yeah, I’ll really get in now. -_-

I don’t think this thread will ever die. Either way, I’m going to post in here, whether it’s as a 2010 applicant or as a Chapman student, helping future applicants. This is home.

“this is home” hahaha but yea 25 that i dont like.

I bet they admit more than that tho, because obviously not everyone is going to attend.

You bring up a good point. So it could very well be 50-100. I wonder what the actual amount they admit is.

…isn’t that what the wait list is for?

(lol here I am on a friday night posting away on college confidential…I love it!)

Anyways, another weird topic. But I’m sure many of you have been through this.

I’m directing my first movie, that one other person and I wrote, next week. Any advice for me? I’m really nervous because I have big crew, and I’m directing it, and like to be honest, I really have no clue what I’m doing. Just trying to get expierence you know?

So far everyone keeps telling me organization is key?
