I live like 2 hours from Chapman. I just called and they told me over the phone that I am in for film production, still no letter but I really dont care. I cant believe it, I just got done running around my house, hahaha. I hope all of you get in, you guys have such dedication that you live on this site.

See, I told you! It’s a 100% guarentee you’re in if it says “Admission Approved.” Congratulations!

I emailed Chapman back today saying they can switch it over to my second major. Now my status says “Admission Approved” on webadvisor. I can’t wait to get my acceptance package.

One-way, any news on Chapman yet?

Nope, no news. If I hadn’t been accepted to USC, I’d be tearing myself apart right now.

Can somebody give me the e-mail for Dodge College? I have a question to ask about their graduate program. I tried e-mailing dodgecollege@chapman.edu and it didn’t go through.

Transferdancer, if you are in at Dodge College in screenwriting or producing, I think you should consider taking it. You will be taking a lot of the same classes the production majors take. Also, if you are in Dodge College, you can register for courses there that are not required for your major (other students at Chapman can’t take Dodge College courses). There are films being made ALL the time. If you want to crew a film every weekend, you’ll be able to do that. My son is a production major but he’s very interested in screenwriting too, so he plans to tack on an extra screenwriting class or two. I think you’ll get a great film education either way.

JCarroll, How is the shoot going? My guess is that we won’t hear from you for a few days because you’re going to be living on Red Bull and tearing your hair out. Isn’t filmmaking great?! :)

one-way: congrats on getting into USC! that’s great news!

and everyone who’s been accepted to chapman so far: can’t wait to see you guys in the fall in person haha

Got my package!! I cant believe this guys, I got a scholarship too, I am in awe, did you guys get ur letters today??? Please say yes, I want all of us to get in!

Thank you, monkarrr.

jcarroll is busy, but I wonder if he got an e-mail as well.

filmfanatic: congrats! which scholarship did you get?

I got the trustee scholarship! I am so happy, do you guys know when we get our fin aid packages, also, what about off campus housing? Now comes the hard part where I have to figure everything out, haaha.

Congratz again FilmFanatic. I was already accepted into my second choice major TV Production but I plan on doing some courses in Film as well. I live in NY so I’ll probably get my acceptance package this week. I don’t know anything about off campus housing. I really want to live in those 4 bedroom suites in the Residence Center where you get your own bedroom. I wonder if they’re full…

Still waiting to hear from USC and LMU.

Thank you very much!! Yea I am going down there monday to get housing figured out, I am so ecstatic. I got into SC kinda too, long story, but I chose Chapman over it for many reasons.

FilmFanatic, I’d like to hear what you mean about getting into “SC kinda” even if it is a long story, that is, if you don’t mind sharing. I’m just curious what major you got in for, and why you personally chose Chapman over USC.

FilmFanatic-Are you going to ask if housing is filled up? Let us know what they say.

they still take apps for dorms, but you’re not guranteed a spot. and transfers only have two options, the glass and the south morlan hall (i think. forget, but we only get two choices) and i believe theres a good chance of us getting tripled. I’m dorming for sure though.

you should be getting financial aid in about a week or so, if not, you should call them. the people at the financial aid office are very nice.

right now i’m scrambling to make money for whatever financial aid doesn’t pay for, and it sucks.

Yea, I dont think I am going to dorm. I am going on monday to look for a house, or an apartment close by. I have a few buddies down there that will room with me. And as far as the story its pretty intense, pm me your email and I will email it to you, and also explain my reasoning for going to Chapman over SC.

The housing office at Chapman also has a list of off-campus housing. I think you can access it from the website in “student living”.

Congrats to all the new Panthers!

OK guys, this has been the most fun, difficult, challengin expierence of my life. I have had a grand total of about 5 hours sleep. Last day of shooting is toda, and then I plan on sleeping for like the next three! haha anyways will give you guys a better update later, but just so you guys know, I was constantly coming back to the boards here and reading advice you guys gave me.

Anywas we are shooting in thirty so I’ll make this quick.

One-way: congrats on USC! That is like some straight up life changing news, you must be thrilled!

Linspers: congrats on getting into Chapman :)

and anyone else I missed, I’ll try and get later…

Adios friends

Thank you jcaroll6!

Monkarrr, where did you find out transfers only get 2 choices for housing? I read if you live in a Morlan you’ll have a double. Anywhere else would be a triple.
