I’m a junior in high school and I just realized by the time I graduate my gpa won’t be that high…like a 3.0. My current gpa is like a 3.5 or .6 and my cumulative is 2.7 due to bad grades from freshman year.
I plan on applying to film school (I have film production as well as photography experience and have directed one short film) I plan on gaining more experience this summer for my portfolio but do you think my chances are spoiled now?
Of course I won’t be applying to schools like USC or anything but should I bother applying at all now…I feel really lost.
Also, my friend said I should mention in personal statements the reason I got bad grades was due to depression, suicide attempts etc, would that be a good idea or no
