I'm currently thinking of transferring to a large University with a good film program. I'd like a large university in a city. Not NYU though, I need lots of financial aid. I'm looking at Boston University, but I can't find on their website what kind of requirements they ask their film applicants to submit. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Don't forget USC and and UCLA, both of which have strong film programs. Also, check out Emerson College.

University of Texas should be big enough....there are 40-50,000 students there. It's in Austin.

BU doesn't ask their film students to submit anything... but I submitted a DVD and talked to a lot of profs. It's a great program too. Emerson would not be considered a big school but it is in the city. One thing to think about with Emerson is that it may be a small school but it is all comm students.. .where as although BU or NYU is huge... the film program is very very small.
