<p>I am currently a freshman at Tufts University, and I am seriously thinking about majoring in film studies. But Tufts only has a minor in film studies. I think I would be a lot happier in the long run if I was at a school with a more comprehensive film studies major/program.</p>
<p>The catch is, I know my parents would only let me transfer to more "prestigious" schools.</p>
<p>I'm not sure which schools to look at or if I am leaving out any options. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!</p>
<p>look at nyu or columbia - nyu's film program is amazing and hard to get into (esp as a transfer) - columbia is pretty presitigious and I've heard that they have film.<br>
emerson college in boston is not as prestigious, but they have amazing film opportunities. you might want to check it out since you're so close by and stuff</p>
<p>I agree with lizzie - nyu is excellent for film. i have a friend who studies film at usc (transferred there after two years at emerson college), also one of the top schools. he thinks nyu, usc and ucla are the top for film. but if u wanna stay on the east coast, then you should definitly look at nyu or emerson.</p>
