Cal grant, I believe, will give you either A or B, but not both. It covers the full cost of tuition-- and the school will first reduce their grant aid by the amount of the CalGrant, when they add it to the package, and then reduce loans.

2K looks like a pretty generous Pell Grant to me.

Taking advantage of the student loans and work study won't affect your grants.

This is a good package, with full need covered, and it will get a bit better when your CalGrant is figured in. 2K in work study is very doable, and provides good experience. $2600 per year in student loans is also doable.

You may want to check with their Financial Aid Office. It sounds almost like this is one semester's worth of aid...which would explain why your Pell Grant is only $2,025.00. For a student with a zero EFC, the yearly amount of Pell is $4,050.00.

the link is for sfsu, im admitted to sdsu. are all csu's the same?

would it be possible to take the sug the first yr and then cal grant b the following yr with the full $4,071? (since sug is more than the cal grant for frosh yr)

Check with SDSU or CalGrant to be sure of details. My recollection is that you can get A or B, but not both. If eligible for both, they give you the one that's most beneficial, I think.

Definitely take whatever CalGrant you're eligible for, even if it reduces some of the College grant money. CalGrant will continue for four years, while the college grant money may dry up. No reason not to accept it if offered.

i have got admit for fall 2008 for CS... i need to know about financial aids available for graduate studies and sites where i can apply for it. can u help me with it.
thank you!

The finaid dept picks either Cal Grant A or B, if you qualify for both- with B, i think it is a smaller grant the first year, which the school makes up, then a larger gant in subsequent years- should ahve no affect on you, but helps the school
