Hi everyone,

I'm planning to apply as a transfer in Spring Quarter to WUStl, and I'm just wondering, since financial aid is distributed as a first-come-first serve basis, would that mean applying for the spring quarter lower my chances to receive financial aid?

Yes, because spring is part of the 10/11 year for financial aid as well as academics, it’s likely that most schools would not have work-study, Perkins, or much in the way of institutional aid left to award. You should check WashU’s policies regarding financial aid and transfers - they may or may not be as generous to incoming transfer students in any case.

Call first thing Monday morning. They may have some money left. Also, if you have good stats, you’re more likely to get more money from them.

Hehe, I’m not even sure if I could get in yet, but the amount financial aid I receive would be really important for me to even consider going. Thanks for the advice, I might just consider applying for fall quarter.
