How is pratt for financial aid????

My daughter will be attending Pratt as a Freshman this fall. She was accepted to six schools ; 4 liberal art colleges and two art schools (RISD was the other art school). We did not qualify for financial aid, but Pratt offered her a substantial merit package. It was the only school to offer her any money. At accepted students day last spring we sat at a table with two other students who also were accepted to RISD and received no money from them but generous amounts from Pratt. In the end , the program, size, and location of Pratt made it a better fit for my daughter than RISD, but the money really sealed it. The Pratt catalogue has an entire chapter on aid . I would suggest looking at that. Hope this helps !

Just a warning from a recent graduate... Pratt may be good a luring you in, but their administration is a disaster. They completely screwed up my financial aid, holding on to money that should have been returned to my lender, while I paid on the interest. Now, attempting to remedy the situation, I can't get a human on the phone. No help what so ever, really mean employees, and a non-responsive staff. I attended Pratt Institute for grad school, so I have some experience with college administration. Pratt's staff is by far the worst!Understaffed, surly and just plain awful.
