FINAL list of schools:

Colorado School of Mines EA

University of Delaware RD
University at Buffalo - SUNY RD

Would I get the highest merit scholarships at any of these schools? That would be great to know (and of course my overall chances)!

Thanks! And I WILL CHANCE BACK

Feel like you’re underestimating yourself a little. Your standardized test scores aren’t that bad and you may actually consider ranked 40+ schools. And I never knew you can EA that many schools?

Chance me back! <a href=“ED. Fab SAT, poor grade. Chance? (International) - Northwestern University - College Confidential Forums”>ED. Fab SAT, poor grade. Chance? (International) - Northwestern University - College Confidential Forums;

You should be able to get the highest merit scholarships at all of these schools except maybe Syracuse but even there you have a good shot! You shouldn’t be too worried about getting into those colleges, especially with your test scores and extracurriculars.

Chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1696851-where-do-i-have-a-shot.html?new=1</a></p>

@alafae @Alec43 thanks!

Anyone else?

You probably will get into all those schools, but probably not get their “highest merit scholarships.” Those scholarships go to people with more like a 35 on the ACT. Nonetheless, you will get excellent merit aid. Just not the best of the best.

At the University of Alabama, you would definitely get a full tuition scholarship plus honors program, and maybe a room and board discount. 'Bama is better than SUNY-Buffalo or Missouri S&T EA, and every bit as good as U.Dayton. Tulane and Syracuse are the best schools on your list, but Alabama is a better value unless you just like spending money. Deadline for the full tuition scholarships is December 15th.

http://eng.ua.edu/academics/undergraduate/</a></p>

You will get in at all of those schools
I don’t know if you will get the highest scholarship but I know you will get money.

By the way, you do understand the Tulane only offers Chemical and Biomedical Engineering? Right?
http://tulane.edu/sse/academics/undergrad/bachelors-programs.cfm</a></p>

@NROTCgrad‌ I’ve already applied to University of Alabama and have indeed received the presidential full tuition scholarship plus the extra $2500/year engineering scholarship. I’m applying to Tulane because I’d love to go there, and I will most likely go into chemical engineering or comp sci, but I know Tulane is still insanely expensive. Do you think I would have a shot at Tulane in the first place? It has 26% acceptance rate so I don’t know if it’s iffy for me. Thanks for the reply.

@SStephen2015 thanks for responding! If you have a chance thread and want to be chanced just let me know.

I do but I can’t link it on my mobile phone
Just look for the thread I made in the chance me section
Thanks

Yes, I think you will get into Tulane. Your ACT is in the top 25% along with a great GPA and excellent EC’s.

Just remember, Tulane really does not like being a backup school. Tell them you love Tulane and New Orleans. Visit if at all possible… the sooner the better. After they accept you and give you a financial aid package, then – and only then – decide between it and 'Bama.

Personally, I love Tulane. I actually wish that I had gone there with my NROTC full tuition scholarship. Don’t know how much more I would be willing to pay above going to 'Bama. For me, probably not more than $10,000 per year. But, only you and your family can make that decision.

Regarding the question from “1939er”… safeties are great places to get superior merit scholarships. The better the school, the less merit money you get. Plus, Tulane is not a safety. It’s a solid match.

Probably every school you will get into. Chance me back!

You are a strong candidate. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You have high test scores and good ECs so I wouldnt be that worried. Maybe even apply to schools a little higher ranked. Also kill those essays, those are very important.

@SStephen2015‌ I will chance you back later, but I promise I will get around to it
@jsweets17‌ @biggestsunsfan‌ thanks for replying!
@NROTC thanks for all of your help! Tulane, Dayton, and Alabama are my top 3 choice schools

Bump, just a reminder I chance back!

Seriously, You will most likely get in to all your schools w/o a problem.

You will get in. No doubt

Chance back?

@wildfactor thanks! but if you could tell me which schools are safety/matches/reaches that’d be great
@bboy219 I will get in to which schools and are those safeties/matches/reaches? Thanks for replying though

I don’t know anything about those schools, but from what I can gather, you seem to be a top notch student. I would put them all at match/safety level. Nice stats.

Oh and I really don’t know anything about merit aid, but you look like a very strong candidate at all those schools, so you’d probably get quite a bit. Good luck!

Also, 35/1000??? You have 1000 students in your grade? Holy, I thought my school was big.

@bonsly haha yeah my school is pretty big, 4,000+ kids total. Thanks for your input btw! If you have a thread that you want me to chance back just let me know
