muhlenberg - low reach
oberlin - no clue

it looks like 3.6-3.8 uw the rest of the year. thank you for your honest input!

I personally think the smaller liberal arts school you have a very good chance at and the bigger schools you are in the right direction for acceptance.

Emory University- reach
Oxford College of Emory-match
Tulane - definitely a match
Tufts- reach
GWU- high match
Colgate-match (!)
Binghamton- match
Geneso - ?
American- match
Wake Forest- high match
Drexel- low match
Muhlenberg- ?
Oberlin- any musical background? this is more of a music-based college, or so I’ve been told by friends who go there.

Good luck!!!

@GatorNation…Do you think i have a good chance at tufts when you say “Small liberal arts” and do you think i can get into emory as well? i considered those my reaches. probably going to apply ED. do you think i have a chance of getting into those two?

Tufts maybe? I would say the admission process is rather subjective, if there something unique about you then you might have a chance at both of those schools. The thing is with saying you have average ECs,Recs, and such it is hard to get into a top school with that and a little above average grades.

ok thank you!

Damn your GPA and sats are similar to mine haha. But anyway, i think you got a solid chance at all of them, yes , even emory. Tufts maybe a reach though, but definitely a possibility. The reason i say emory is because they have been sending me emails left and right encouraging me to apply there.

Emory university-Reach
oxford college of emory-Low Match
tulane-Match
tufts-reach
gwu-Match
colgate(double legacy)-Match
binghamton(legacy)-Match
geneseo-not sure

wake forest- High Match
drexel-Low Match
muhlenberg-Not Sure
oberlin- Reach

Good to know. Thanks. Good luck with your college hunting!

Your best chance at any of the reaches above would probably be at Colgate due to the double legacy! If Colgate is near the top of your list, you might want to consider ED 2 there! It is a long shot, but legacy usually provides a boost much more so in ed than in rd!

89% of enrolled freshman were in the top 10% of high school class at Tufts. Your scores are below the 25th percentile. If I were you, I would not “waste” the early decision boost there, unless you have a hook.

Giving all the recent information and research, i think i might apply to Emory ED. Although my parents really want me to go to colgate, i dont want to go to a college that is in the middle of nowhere unless it is the best school i get into by a good amount.

Your GPA and SATs are both below the 25% range at Emory. It is a pretty large reach. With that being said, there’s always a chance. If it were me, however, I wouldn’t use my ED on a school that is so unrealistic.

Colgate is the same situation. Without the legacy, you have a very small chance of being accepted based on their admissions data. However, with this boost you might be a high much or low reach if you applied ED.
