Final College List... Please Chance

After narrowing down my list, I came up with a final list of colleges that I will be applying to this fall. I will be applying to these schools RD due to the fact that the financial aid package they give me will help determine where I go. Please chance me on the colleges of my choice using the following 4 categories...
Hopeless: 0% chance at getting in
Reach: A small chance at getting in... but still could...
Match: A good chance at getting in but might not
Safety: Guaranteed to get in or a very very high chance of acceptance...

Here are my stats and colleges I am looking at...

Thanks ahead of time...

First off, the only reason why you are slightly out-of-range for some of these schools is because of your ACT score. Get 31+, and you'll be set for a few more. Secondly, if you take the SAT IIs, then colleges WILL see your SAT 1 scores, because they are sent together.

Vandy: match
WUSL: reach
Duke: Hopeless/reach (low ACT)
JH: Hopeless/reach (low ACT)
UM: slight reach/match (OOS, lower ACT)
Denison: no idea, know nothing about it
DePauw: match/safety
Otterbein: safety
Case Western: match

Good luck, hope that helped!

Ummmmm....he got a 32 composite on his ACT. The 25-75 range for Duke is 29-33. I think the OP has a good shot at Duke.

I'd actually still say that Duke, JHU, and UM were all low reaches. The OP has a shot, but I don't see anything particularly compelling about him/her.

wait...since when is a 32 a low score on the ACT, vc?
i think maybe you misread. and why are you taking SATII's? you don't need to for those schools if you're just sending the ACT. your list and stats are pretty similar to mine.
Vanderbilt-match/low reach
Washington University in St. Louis-low reach
Duke-low reach
Johns Hopkins-match
University of Michigan-match

Well... I'm actually debating on whether or not to take the SAT again... does anyone know the equivalent to a 32 on the ACT? I was going to take the SATII's in case my SAT score surpassed my ACT score... but the more I think about it, I think it would probably be better just for me to say screw the SAT and just spend time trying to bring my ACT up... I have not signed up for the SAT or the II's yet... and I don't think that I will...

Thanks for all the replies... I am studying hard for the october ACT and hope to bring it up at least a point or two... any more opinions on my chances?

sorry, I misread the ACT score lol (read it as a 29). Still think Duke and JHU are reaches though, everyone applying has as good of stats as you do.

polite bump...

shoe in everywhere

Thanks for the encouragement schismmanifesto... but i don't know if that is entirely true...

32 is about a 1410-1450/1600 or 2130/2400.

thanks token... any more advice?
