Final Decision Day!

Today is May 1st, so everyone should be knowing where they are going.

Congrats no matter where you end up, I'm sure you'll have a great time!

If have sent in your acceptance to Wash U by today though, make yourself known! We would love to hear from/about other future members of the class of '09.

I sent in my acceptance on Wednesday, and I hope it makes it by today. Was it a postmark date or not?

It's supposed to be received by the 1st. Don't worry. If you sent it on Wednesday, it's probably cool.

i have sent in my acceptance to wash u. expressed mailed. (on waitlist for another school, though. i wish i could be more excited in this whole process)

i feel your pain smile, I'm waitlisted at 2 schools I like more than wash u.

What would really happen if your acceptance arrived late? Would they say you couldn't go?

I don't think that they would say that you couldn't go. That would be cruel. Besides, WashU is trying to increase their yield.

I also e-mailed them about my deposit and they told me that despite what their website and stuff says, it's a postmark by May 1st deadline. And my guidance counselor today told me most schools will extend it to may 2nd since may 1st was a sunday. So if you sent it out any day last week, you're def fine.

I sent in my deposit! I am very excited for next year. And wondering when I get more info, aka how I get my college email. I want to become a facebook addict...

i sent mine in on the 22nd! yay! they haven't sent me any mail saying "welcome and thanks for picking us, you're going to love it here" yet.

aero56: I got an email.

I got an email too, but I want REAL mail. Like a packet full of important college stuff. Wash U is good at mail. I hope I get something soon.

I got a huge (350 page or so) book of all the different courses.

yeah, i got my e-mail today, also you can go onto the site where you checked your decision, and you can check if they've received your deposit and housing form anad stuff.

Their postal budget has been maxed out. They're going to have to either dip into the endowment or send messenger pigeons.

Lol! Congrats all, hope to see you in St. Louis soon! Mmmm...St. Louis in August...aren't you all lucky kids? (If you don't know what I'm talk'n about, you're in for a big surprise.)

heh, please enlighten us

Don't be fooled by STL's place on the map. In August, the heat index is over 100 6 out of 7 days, and people'll kill for humidity under 60 percent. Also, excepting Texas, it's like the worst place for people with allergies. Oh, but we have about two weeks of nice weather in April and in November... Don't get me wrong, WashU is a kick, um, posterior, college, but you'd better hope the AC is on in your dorm or else you WILL be s-o-r-r-y.:)

Give me heat over cold any day!!! There are no Michigan winters in St. Louis...

Indeed - anything and everything is better than a Utah blizzard ( we got another about a week ago) i have had enough.

ps- they will send you a fun package when they "cash" your deposit. get ready for....a red carabeener that says wash u, a ginormous t-shirt, and car decals...yahoo!
