I’m stuck between UC Davis and Oregon State. Which one should I go to? I’m in the process of asking both for more financial aid & scholarship help, but at the moment Oregon is winning that one by a LOT. UC Davis has better programs for my major, though (although both colleges offer decent resources). I’m majoring in Sustainable Agriculture and minoring in Animal Sciences and Spanish. I really don’t know which one I want to go to. I love Oregon as a state but they don’t have as much going for them because I’m not a fan of Corvallis and I don’t think they have a student farm. Davis’s student farm is just absolutely AMAZING but Davis is in California, which is not my favorite state (great to visit but I don’t know about living in it). Ok, these are just my first frantic and panicked thoughts. Please help me Thanks!
Which state are you a resident of? If you are not from California, are you able and willing to pay $65,000 per year for UCD? If not, Oregon State it is.
Also UC’s do not negotiate financial aid especially if you are not a resident. If Oregon is more affordable at this point, then it seems like the obvious choice.
Oregon State.
Yup, called Davis they have no financial aid for anyone out of state. GOODBYE CA and hello OR!!
