Between Wash U and Emory. I want to take a pre-med track. I need some help deciding.

pleeaaase!

Go to Emory. At least your Uncle Harry won't think you went to college in Seattle.

HAHAHAHA! That is a good point.

Emory. But that's just my personal opinion.

huuummmmmm

Emory, IMO a better school

Both are very good schools--both in general and for pre-med. Anything else in terms of preferences?

I say Emory. You'll have a great time and not be as stressed out.

I just want a school that has a high acceptance rate into med school. I also want a school where it is easier to keep a high GPA. >_<

buuuummmpp

I've heard from some that WashU is very cutthroat in pre-med.

Also, imo, WashU is a bit of a poser.

Go to Emory!

Wash U. It's better.

I would go to WashU because I like the area A LOT more than Atlanta...

that and the dorms are pure awsomeness

Emory /////\

Make a spreadsheet with all major factors on it, compare, weigh, decide in a reational fashion.

Wash U is HUGGGEELLYY competitive almost to the point where it's ridiculous. i know a girl who goes there and she says there's almost always a horrible atmosphere with all the competitiveness and it doesn't provide a good college experience. plus, i'm one of those people that believes that wash u is an excellent school, but still very overrated. still, emory's a great school and in terms of placement in med school i'd say they're about the same

trisweetp, you also said you wanted a school where it's easier to keep your GPA- that's emory by far...

It's good to narrow your choices down to a few using rationality. The FINAL choice is best made more on emotion. Stand in front of a mirror and pretend you're 30 years old and someone just asked you where you went to college. Say, "I went to Washington University" and "I went to Emory." One of these will feel much better than the other.

hmmm where I live Emory is better known than Wash U!

Wash. U. is pretty popular for premed.

Aren't they ranked 3rd or so in the medical field?
