haha this is the happiest day of my life.

today i got off both the WashU and Emory waitlists

now i'm laughing because i actually have to decide.
i hope all of you have as much good luck as i have had.

OK
now for choosing

I want to become a surgeon and go to med school so this means i'm doing pre-med in college. I applied for biology at both schools. I really have no idea which one to go to. I want to get good grades in college so i don't want to go to an extremely competitive school, but i don't know now.

Please help as soon as possible because everything is due tommorrow.

if ur pre-med go to emory and work hard

both are great Pre-med schools. It really depends on the fit and where you want to live.

I was in the same situation as u last year. Both schools have many students taking premed. Wash U's med school is ranked higher than Emory's. However, this has NO effect on undergraduate classes. The premed classes are mostly the same wherever you take them. I found that Emory has a lot of research oppportunites, but you have to take initiative and find the opportunities. The social life at Emory is centered around the greek scene. I found that both schools were pretty similar. What made me pick Emory over Wash U was that it was close to Atlanta, a bigger city than St. Louis, and that it had better weather. Hope these comments help!

Both great schools, but WashU hands down.

Most compelling arguement I've ever heard. I guess everyone's entitled to his opinion, though....

Go to Emory. We have the CDC literally right next to campus as well as the American Cancer Society headquarters. You can't find these kind of resources anywhere. Plus, if you come here, you can share premed stories with the other three fourths of freshman here who are or are considering premed.

How many premed students actually benefit from Emory's proximity and in what way do they benefit?
