How are you supposed to check your final exam schedule to make sure they don't conflict with each other? At orientation they said to do this when we got home, but how?

[Final Examination Schedule: Enrollment Bulletin: Indiana University Bloomington](http://enrollmentbulletin.indiana.edu/pages/finexsche.php?Term=1#grid)

If you have a class that meets 1 time per week on a wednesday, do you just use the start time and look under the class sections that meet M,W,F for times?

Thanks for the link. So…if I have conflicts, I have to redo my schedule? Or do you just try to work out alternate time with professor? Seems like a lot of people wouldn’t check this until much later.

10upper, Yes.

Mojo, do you have a conflict? They tell you to check to be sure, but it’s designed to where people shouldn’t have conflicts. The only way it should be possible for you have a conflict is if it’s a departmental exam (M118, E201, A100 etc…). If it’s one of those then they won’t let you change it.

I’m fairly certain that if you end up having 3 exams in one day, one of your professors has to offer you another test date. Can anyone else confirm this rule?

@JDE1221–I think there is a rule, but I can’t remember the exact number (it’s either 3 or 4)

If you do have a conflict, you can either switch into a another class or speak with your professor and see what they can do. Most professors are pretty good (provided it’s not a departmental exam) about moving the exams. Also, you may find that the conflict resolves itself. I’ve had many professors just have the final be on the last day of class, rather than making kids come back in during finals week

JDE that rule applies if you have 4 finals in 1 day. That said, the schedule is set up so you shouldn’t have more than 2 to 3 finals in 1 day.

Some professors (even for non-departamental finals) have a policy in which they will absolutely not allow you to take a final at another time beside the one already scheduled. If you know the name of your professor now I’d contact them via email and ask. It couldn’t hurt.
