Final Transcripts

I received 2 C+s my 1st semester of senior year...and may very well receive 2 C+s my second semester

Both are in AP courses out of 4 I am taking

Would this give UofI reason to rescind their decision?

Buddy, are you serious?

The answer is no.

If you are so curious, next time just call the admissions office. They won’t bite.

would the fact that I was accepted from a letter of appeal effect this at all?

Yeah…actually I have the same question. My senioritus is really bad atm. I haven’t decided on U of I yet, but seeing my second semester grades, they don’t look so hot right now, probably end up with a couple of C’s. I am sure I won’t have any D’s lol. Will that get my acceptance revoked? Really panicked right now :frowning: Terrible idea to load up on Ap’s Senior year. How bad do you have to do honestly to get your acceptance rescinded? Can someone post an example of this?

I can’t answer that specifically. Drusba might be able to. But I will say this. You better dump any slacking off, whether you attribute it to senioritis or not, because you need to finish strong for the sake of the unforgiving placement tests in Math and Chem (if your in engineering or a hard science). You need to ace them, because your AP scores won’t likely be in by the time you come down for summer registration and meet your advisor. If you get a D, I’d say you’ve got some explaining to do to admissions, and if you get more than 1 D, I’d be either spending a lot of time on the toilet, or in church, or both.

Cut it out! It’s that simple. You’ve done it for 3.5 years, don’t let it fall apart in the last semester. Seniors are given some leeway to act independently during the last half of the year. You’ve got that freedom times 10 in college. If you show admissions that you don’t have the discipline to buckle down and finish strong given a bit of freedom in high school, they might not want to take the chance on your being successful in college.

Thanks for the reply lol. Will have to buckle down a bit, but I am sure I won’t get any D’s. How about C’s,

I can only say that admissions examines final transcripts closely, and will ask you to explain any dropoff in grades. Do you really want to end your high school career on a downward trend?
