My overnight really pushed me off the fence…and their study abroad/internship opportunities. The personal attention thing is big for me. Lots of opportunities in the Gerald Ford Institute, too. Has anyone else applied/been accepted to Albion?
Does anyone have their financial package from Albion yet? They were supposed to go out last week but…???

My DS is considering Albion and MSU. What was it about your overnight that made you decide on Albion?
Your stats are up there, so are DS's. He didn't apply to as many schools as you did, but also has his share of good schools to chose from. He's narrowed it down and can't seem to make a decision.
Did the Gerald Ford Institute sway your decision? I hear it is an excellent program and is well respected with law schools. I have friends whose D is at K. college and wishes she had chosen Albion because last year her friends had better internship opportunities than she did, which I think says a bit about Albion because K. college rep is strong in that area. DS rejected K. College based on our friend's experiences there. Any info you had on your decision making process would be helpful. I'm getting a bit frustrated with my DS!

Good luck with ND! DS has regretted not applying there as well, but he waited to long with that decision.

Be patient! your son will have that "light bulb" moment and it will all become clear!

My overnight host seemed to be more like me..well, not so much "like" me as just more comfortable to me. I could envision myself there, didn't feel that way at UMich (my host was really strange...maybe a druggie?. Just seemed....wierd), the guy I stayed with at MSU was ok, but had switched majors twice already in 3 years. I just didn't identify with him or his friends. Wasn't comfortable there. Couldn't see myself living in that environment for 4+years. Thats the other thing..Albion's graduation rate is someting like 4.2 yrs vs. the 5.4 at the bigger schools. Even though I'm legacy at UF I didn't want to go that far away.

Yeah, accepance into the Institute was a big deal. It's pretty competitive and I had to interview with the director of the Institute. I thought for sure after the interview that I would be rejected! So getting in was a big plus.
