So I was named as a Finalist back in February, and I had declared then that my college choice was "undecided." I have not seen or heard anything from NMSC regarding the $2500 scholarship. Just today I indicated Yale as my college (committed just a few days ago - so exciting!), which means that I would not receive a college scholarship. Does this mean I am completely out of the running for any scholarship whatsoever? According to what I understand from the website, recipients of the $2500 scholarship were notified in Mid-March, and the only notification left is for the second round of college-based scholarships, for which I do not qualify.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if the post sounds rambling/incoherent; I'm recovering from a nasty cold I caught at Bulldog Days. Thanks!

That is correct. The $2500 NMSC scholarships were awarded already at the end of March. If one of your parents worked for a company which sponsors National Merit scholarships, you might have gotten some money that way. That is the only other way to get money from NMF status, since you are not attending a college that gives money to NMFs.
