<p>My D bought her USD(San Diego) sweatshirt and sent in her deposit today! USD was a last minute application that she never thought she would actually attend but she spent the night with a runner, met the team and coach, visited 4 classes and felt they were interesting, students were motivated and involved and all in all seem happy! Her brother at Pomona promises to visit once a month and is only a 2 hour drive away. They were very generous as well with merit and finaid so that takes some of the pressure off. She did make a last minute phone call to Pepperdine to see if they reviewed her finaid appeal but they said they couldn't look at it till the fall, so she has moved on. She is relieved to have made a choice and is excited ! Thanks everyone for all your support throughout the wild ride!</p>
<p>Congratulations, Arizonamom! Sounds like a great choice. Beautiful city; great climate. You'll enjoy visiting. My S attended a lacrosse camp there and loved it. Come to think of it, maybe that's what got him interested in schools that don't demand you wear a hat and mittens to class!! He's on his way to one - U of Miami :).</p>

<p>Thanks again, it is still hard to send out the not accept cards to Trinity and Willamette, they have been so welcoming and bring personalized attention to a new level. My D however has always dreamed of college in Ca.( must be all the weekend trips we took them on when they were toddlers!)</p>
