Finally admitted off the waitlist...Few questions

If I do decide to attend IU...

Will the housing opportunities be as limited as I think they are going to be?
-> If they are extremely limited, will it ruin my experience at IU? Will I be forced to room on
a floor full of upperclassmen?
-> Would it be better to simply join a frat if housing is limited?

Can you apply to Kelly after only one semester at IU or is it best to wait a year?
-> Also, how competitive are their admissions? I realize you have to maintain a 'B' average
to be considered...But is there anything else? I feel like I'm missing something.

Thanks.

Housing: It will be limited in the sense that you will not have a choice in neighborhood. You will still be on a floor with freshman. I had an issue with housing two years ago and basically had to reapply for housing in the middle of july. I still got into a dorm filled with freshman.

Kelley: If you are not a direct admit, you have to wait until spring semester to apply. You need to maintain a B average and specifically get good grades in econ (e201), business (x104, k201), and math (m118, m119).

Awesome, thanks. It’s good to know I’m not the only one with this problem. Another question: Is that econ class a combination of macro AND micro? Or just one of them?

e201 is micro

Ah, I just took the AP Macro Exam today…would have been nice to test out of it.

Anyway, can someone fill me in on the residencies? I’m unfamiliar with which ones have the most outgoing social life, which ones are freshmen only, etc etc.

Any INFO or LINKS would be greatly appreciated.
