Finally brave enough...chance me for UVa?

I'm planning on submitting an art supplement with the works that will be displayed in my senior showcase next year. I'm not looking to major in the arts, but I still want to be involved in the arts at UVa.

Two 40+ hour teaching internships at local elementary schools

I've been working a part time job for about a year saving up for college. (roughly 30 hours a week)

I have to ask my counselor for a list of the various awards I received Freshman and Sophomore year, but this year I received a Principal's Scholar award, an Art Scholarship Award, and recognition for being a National Merit Scholar.

Clubs (ranked in order of involvement)
Art Club (3 years)
SNHS (2 years)
NHS (1 yr)
Peer Helpers (1 yr)
Environmental Club (2 yrs)
Key Club (2 yrs)

Community Service
300+ hours working at the Race for the Cure and as a Camp Counselor at a bereavement camp for children who have lost a loved one. Out of everything I've experienced, this volunteer work has inspired me most of all and I will likely write an essay about how it has changed my outlook.

I have a feeling I'm leaving something important out...hopefully I'll remember :)

What else should I do to improve my chances?

you’re in-state. you have great stats. you’re in there for sure!

A great athlete and friend of mine was deferred EA with a 4.0 UW GPA, magnet school curriculum, and the same SAT score as you. She was accepted regular decision and she did not submit subject tests. I think you’re in.

^single anecdotes are not very accurate of another’s chances.

Sat score is a bit weak but UVA is easier to get into for instate applicants. Right now looks like you have a decent-good chance, but your chances improve considerably if you raise your score by at least 200 points.

Nothing on this website is accurate of someone else’s chances. It’s all guessing. Cortana431, I don’t know if you know anything about UVA, but strong in-state students do not need a 2160 to be accepted. Not at all. I’ve seen four years of students from my school get in with sub 2000 scores. The example I gave was just one. From what I see on this page, she’s in. My analysis should not be taken as professional and neither should anyone else’s. Still, though, I think my HS experience and lifelong Virginia residency has me more in touch with the school than someone going to school in NY. She has better than a decent chance.
