Is the Financial Aid stuff to be recieved by them by 1st feb...or if its postmarked earlier is it okay. I'm mailing it from Canada tomorrow (27 Jan) and it will not reach by the 1st unless I spend atleast 40-50 bucks on post. I dont want to be stingy, so if it needs to be in by 1st i'll pay...but i'd rather save it if its okay.

The first website lets you know the dateline (Feb. 1st). The second website says that you must file by Feb. 1st. It says for Canadian citizens that you need to file the CSS Profile. The Profile must be filed online (that is the only way). Submit the profile by Feb. 1st. If there are any more document that international students must while, I would suggest that you put the documents in the mail as soon as possible; however, from the website, it appears that documents must be postmarked.

However, I repeat: the CSS Profile must be filed online.

Hey.... if you're not accepted yet do you have to have stuff in by then? I know I could just look on the website but it's so much easier to ask you guys... even if it's sort of a dumb question.

Yes. If you have applied to Stanford and you want to receive financial aid, you must apply for the FAFSA and CSS Profile if you're an American citizen or permanent resident. You must also send your parents and your tax returns (if any) to CSS IDOC by April 1st.

Well gosh thanks! That saves me a lot of heart break.. so thanks, a-bomb, for posting this in the first place. Otherwise I never would have known.

you're welcome JLP..and thanks eiffelguy87.

is there anywhere that it actually states ...."blah blah financial aid extra documents must be postmarked on Feb 1st"

Look through the website. When I searched, I didn't see any.
