Harvard Financial Aid--VERY URGENT!!!

I am an international student living in the U.S., and on the application website it says "this statement is due in the financial aid office by mail/fax" and then on the right side it said "Deadline: February 1, 2009." Does that mean postmark or receive? I need an answer urgently please! Thank you all!

P.S. it also asks me to send in a copy of my parent's tax form (the most recent one), and since I live in the US should I just send in the 2007 tax form now and send the 2008 one when that becomes available or should I just wait?

Thanks so much!

That's the postmark date.

Harvard doesn't require tax returns until March 1 (postmark date). So, wait until your parents can get their tax returns for 2008 done, and then send those in (via IDOC b/c Harvard does it through that [meaning, don't mail your tax returns directly to Harvard]).

Yeah, the thing weird about international students is that the March 1 thing is not mentioned anywhere, so I'm prob. just going to send in one now and then when the new one comes out send that one. But we don't get to use the IDOC because we don't get to do CSS Profile.

So the deadline being the postmark deadline is pretty positive then? I just wanted to make 100% sure.

Call the fa office if you want to be sure.

Thanks! I called and it was fine. :)
