Finance/Marketing Double Major from non-target school

Hi,

After taking my first accounting class, I've started to realize that while I can handle the class, it isn't my favorite thing in the world to do, and I have enjoyed my finance and marketing classes more. The thing is, I go to a non-target school, and marketing might be a useless major, but if I reinforce it a "normal" degree like finance and then take as many stats and econ classes as I can, could that lend me a bit more credence? I'd mostly be looking at getting into the strategic side of marketing (i.e. brand management or marketing consulting) or any area that requires more quant skills than say advertising or something like that, so is doing a double major in a more credible field like finance a good move, or am I basically stuck with accounting because of my school. As I said, I don't absolutely hate accounting, and I'd be decent at that, but it's not my favorite subject, and I've learned that forcing yourself to do something you don't necessarily enjoy is not a smart move. At the same time, however, I don't want to completely ruin my career by getting a job at a small marketing firm and having no chance at a good MBA school (I really, really, really, really want to go to a top 10-15 MBA), so what should I do?

Accounting.

If it’s not your favorite thing, don’t major in it. It’s really that simple.
And it’s not really common for someone who did their undergrad in accounting to even get an MBA.
