If I am interested in a job in finance should I major in econ and computational finance or econ and tepper business? Which pair of majors is easier to major in together?

Doesn't really matter. There is only like one finance course so if you take that and keep up a good GPA you can do whatever. Quant Econ definitely helps and comp finance can be majored in or minored in. You have to apply as a major and they haven't taken anyone below a 3.5 GPA so keep that in mind as how hard it is to get into that.

Just do what you are interested in while taking math/finance courses and you'll be fine.

So when do you apply for the comp finance degree? End of freshman year? End of sophomore year?
I am interested because if the whole med-school thing falls through for me, it'd be nice to have a concentration in come other field as well.

I do not know. It is definitely later than freshman year (we haven't had the option to apply yet) so ask about it during freshman year if you are interested.

I would guess around soph-junior year.

Anything kids interested in the comp finance major should be doing to prepare in particular?
