Im new to this forum so I hope im posting this in the right place.

I am signing up for spring classes and I need to take financial accounting. Most of the classes at my college for accounting are 8 weeks. Would financial accounting be to hard to take in 8 weeks? I heard accounting is hard so thats why im nervous about taking it as an 8 week class. There are a few regular semester classes but those are all taught by the same professor which has very bad reviews on ratemyprofessor.

Any suggestions?

nothing is too hard to take in 8 weeks if it was it wouldn’t be offered. It depends on the effort you put into it study and you will be fine.

I’ve found that accounting classes’ difficulty can vary depending on the instructor, so it depends. It’s a decent amount of material to cram into 8 weeks, so as long as you have the time to go over the text to fully understand the concepts, it’s not too bad. It’s definitely not going to be something that will overwhelm you as long as you get a feel for the flow of the class and understand what the professor expects of you.

Sometimes I’ve had some really good professors who have had lower reviews on RMP. It’s a good idea to read the review thoroughly enough to make sure someone has a legitimate concern or if he/she is complaining about having to put in effort. That’s a problem at my school, at least.
