Financial aid.... again

Sorry to bring up this horrible topic once again but I just have a few questions about financial aid and the whole payment process.

I get 15,000 a year in financial aid, about 5,000 each quarter. I didn't take out any loans, but now I'm worried that I should have.

I just need help breaking down how much I have to pay each quarter and each month.

Is housing paid each month? I think I chose this option but I'm not sure. So housing for me is about 3000 each quarter, so that would total to 9,000 for the year.

Tuition is about 2800, and is paid at each month, correct? How many months will I be billed for tuition? That would bring my total to...?

I need to know this so I can figure out how much I owe for tuition and housing by the end of the year. Is the 23,000 dollars a year an accurate estimate of my expenses of the year, or will I be around 18,000-20,000 for my total expenses. I have heard people say that it is an overestimation, and that books or something don't really cost 500 a quarter.

I'm planning to do work study, so hopefully I can make 2,500 by the end of the year and I'm thinking of taking a loan (if that's still possible).

Sorry if I'm not explaining this well, but any help would be appreciated.

PLAN G is quarterly for housing.... no way would you pay 3K a month!

he said 3k a quarter w hich sounds about right.

If your getting 5k a quarter, what you get in your bank account will be your money for housing, food, books, etc.... if its not enough for the quarter than the rest you will have to create on your own.

Your tuitiion gets taken out first, i dont think the housing is paid automatically for you.

So about how much will I pay in tuition for the entire year?

Tuition would probably amount to about $6500 for the entire year. ($2100-$2200 a quarter)

UCLA estimates it to be $6523 for the entire year, which sounds about right.

Tuition is a constant .. it doesnt fluctuate unless you take above 18 units ( i thintks its 18) .

Also if you dont get USHIP tuition is less

But its about 6500 like Kalasin said.

dont forget that the final housing payment is around april. so housing is not gonna be ~$3000 for spring quarter.

So if housing and tuition bring me to around 15-16k, where does the rest go? I can only remember books, but what else is it?

food, transportation, medical, personal expenses.
