Financial Aid and Scholarships for International students

Hello.
I am an international student. This year i will apply to a college in the U.S.

I have a question regarding scholarships and fin. aid available in COMMUNITY COLLEGES.
Do they "exist" in them for international students? If yes, can they cover a lot? If you know some community colleges that offer good fin. assistance to internationals, please write their names here.

I am asking this question because I am not sure that my test results and GPA are OK for a good scholarship or fin. aid at a good 4-year college. That's why I thought to apply to a COMMUNITY COLLEGE in the U.S. (as they are the cheapest) and get some scholarship there if it is avalable. And then, after my graduation from a Com. College, to transter to a good 4-year college, having excellent results and achievments during my 2-year undergraduate program, and receive a high scholarship or fin. aid for my achievments.

I write you my results, just in case:

GPA: 3,6
TOEFL iBT: 98
SAT: 520 CR; 780 M; 590 W
Also, there are a lot of extracur. activities, awards, achievements...

As i stated above, I am not sure if i can be eligible for a high (not necesserily full) scholarship or fin. aid at good colleges in the U.S.

Give me please advice regarding this aspect.
Also, write what you think about going to a community college and then transferring and getting a good scholarship (for an international student). Is it possible t get?

I doubt that there are any CCs that give any aid to int’ls and this is why. CCs are funded by state gov’ts. Typically gov’t funds are not allowed to be given to int’ls. CCs don’t have the endowments necessary to give aid to int’ls.

Many International students can come to Canada and have their year cost less than $20,000, that includes EVERYTHING!

Also, schools don’t typically give big scholarships for transfer students whether they are int’l or American. Big scholarships are given out to incoming freshmen as a way to help boost a school’s ranking. There’s no “boost” from transfer students so there’s no incentive.
