Financial Aid and SSN

<p>When I had filled out the application to go to Rutgers in November, I did not put in my original SSN, and Rutgers ended up making one for me. Did this mess up my financial aid? Because now when I try to put in my SSN to check for my financial aid awards, it's not going through, and they keep saying that the SSN is not in the database =/.</p>

<p>Has this happened to anybody else?</p>

<p>Call Rutgers and ask them what you need to do to fix the problem. I cannot understand why they would make up a ss # for you unless they have it wrong ( maybe they got it from your school wit your transcript) . Check with them to make sure that you don’t loose out on financial aid.</p>
