Financial Aid arrived anywhere?

Has anyone received their financial aid or merit scholarship awards? Trinity said that they would be out by April 1st. Nothing in California yet.

nothing received yet at this location in Texas.

Nope, nothing yet, which is surprising. I talked to my Ad Com a week ago, and she said that they were going out “in the next couple of days”. I would not think it would take more than a couple days to arrive from when they were sent; I figure the mail probably went out Friday, and since the USPS doesn’t sort on Saturday or Sunday, it didn’t get sorted until Monday, so most of us in Texas should hear in the next day or two.

Thanks for the update. I hope some news arrives before we leave for spring break on Saturday! Good luck to everyone. I hope you get what you are wishing for

I got it today, and the date on the aid letter said March 29. Gotta say, I am a bit disappointed that merit scholarships apparently took away from grants instead of loans.

Benandorf-Thanks for the update. Sorry that it wasn’t all the good news that you had hoped for. I already got todays mail and nothing yet. Something SHOULD arrive before we leave Saturday morning.

I’m an international student and I got my f.a. letter through email today :)

Does EVERY AWARD - including merit and need-based - come in one email for International?

Mine says FA Merit only and did not meet my need. I’m so screwed.

I am in with a Dean’s Scholarship!

D just received the Murchison Scholarship in the mail today! WOW. Trinity is moving up on the list. Good luck everyone.

Bah, still waiting. If I don’t receive any aid do I still get notification? I’d be surprised if I didn’t, but considering I have yet to visit, I’d like to have an aid result (good or bad) in hand before I start planning a trip (its a lot of money for a potentially fruitless endeavor).

Congrats to all who got in. I hope you get the FA/Merit to make attendance possible. The school has been wonderful for my daughter.

BTW, did any of your correspondence say how many applied/were accepted for this year?

Mine said somewhere around 8,000 applied, I believe, but I don’t have it on hand at the moment, so can’t check.

guys do u know how much T usually awards at most? could there be a full scholarship?

and how could i tell if the financial aid is need based or merit based?

Thx

playaamy-
I received the same email as you (Merit FA only)
I’ve sent an email to the sender asking about the need-based FA…no reply yet :stuck_out_tongue:
My family really needs more aid, so I’m hoping for a positive reply!

Citreofa,
I’ve read in another post in CollegeCon that EA candidates are considered for full schols, but it really was “in another post”, so I can’t vouch for this tip.

Regarding your 2nd question, merit FA would say,
“Congratulations on receiving a scholarhip in recognition of your achievements!”
or something like that :stuck_out_tongue:
That was what I had in my email :)

To all possible Trinity U class of '14!
Please post about yourselves!
(ethnicity, other schools you’ve applied to, etc)
