Did anyone receive their financial aid letter yet? Are you happy/upset with it? I received mine earlier. I am quite satisfied with it.

We live in Colorado. My S has not gotten his letter yet. We did get an envelope from RH and thought it might be it, but it was a letter about Fast Track Calc-darn!

No letter here yet (aside from the FTC letter that Centennialmom mentioned). Maybe it’ll be here on Monday!

no letter here yet either. Was your Fin Aid need-based or merit-aid?

Good! That means mine should come soon! I mean, I do just live in IL.

I’m assuming it was merit-aid because it is described as a ‘scholarship’, but the way the letter is worded makes it seem otherwise. The letter is dated February 24, so I’m surprised no one else has received one yet.

Oh, I received 26K in the letter.

wow - congratulations - that’s awesome!

CheriAnne, when did you submit your FAFSA?

What CheriAnne may have received is one of the dedicated scholarships- such as the Percopo Scholarship. I think it’s still a little early for the full financial aid letters with all of the awards (need and merit based) and loans to be coming out. I would look for those closer to April 1st.

I submitted my FAFSA back in January.

The first full round of financial award letters will be mailed out next week. If you have any questions, let me know.

I too got the FTC letter about 3-4 days ago. Im getting worried cuz I still havent received my financial aid package yet!! hopefully it will come soon

I just called and they told me the financial aid statements were mailed 3/17 and 3/18. Fingers crossed…

I was really hoping we would have the financial aid info by today. We leave on Monday for our visit. It would be nice to know ahead of time what kind of financial aid packet we are getting.

Centennialmom, if you let the admissions office know, you should be able to meet with someone in the financial aid office, and they can discuss the aid package with you.

I recieved 26k as well, but unfortunately it’s still not affordable enough for me to attend.

Well the financial aid letter came yesterday-just in time before we leave for our visit. The packet still makes RH one of the more expensive schools DS is looking at.It was a combo of merit aid, a small grant and the rest loans. We will have to really love the school to make it a top choice.

I received my actual financial aid letter, and I’m so relieved with it. I’m looking at paying around 22K a year, which is around what I’d be paying for other private schools I applied to. At least money won’t pay a factor in my final decision come May.

Should i be worried that I have not yet received my financial aid letter? I live in Illinois (Chicago) and it seems like a lot of kids have already gotten theirs. If the letters were mailed 17th-18th that either means that mine was lost in mail or that they hold back certain letters for some unknown reason. Oh, the suspense is nerve wrecking (not really, but I would still like to know sooner then later).

So should I give them a courteous call and ask whats up or just chill back until April?
