Financial Aid at NYU?

Hello :) I am a high school junior, and am finishing my college list.
I love NYU and think that I have a good chance of being accepted.

However, I know that I will not be able to attend this school without very good financial aid. I've been under the impression that NYU is notorious for not giving much aid at all.
The other schools that I will apply to have good financial aid so it's really not a pressing issue; my family makes very little money and I know that I will be good to go.

Should I apply to NYU and try to finance it through scholarships?
Is there a chance that they would give me the money that I need?

Please reply! I would love to hear about any of your experiences with this :)

I’ve heard the same thing about NYU, so I’m also curious to hear what other people have to say about it. I think you should definitely apply; who knows, you might get some of the money you need!

I’ve heard conflicting things. The people I know in real life who have attended there said that their financial aid packages were good, yet everyone on here seems to have a different opinion. I would apply and see what they give you. It can’t hurt…

The higher your stats, the more aid NYU gives. Some top students get enough to avoid big loans. Be prepared to not get enough if you are admitted.
